Tasting Notes

The wine, a light straw yellow with brief greenish highlights, expresses rich, complex, and intense aromas. The notes of citrus fruit, pears, and acacia flowers are in perfect balance with the sweet and spicy notes of vanilla.

Made in an early-drinking style, this ruby red wine has an intense, ripely-fruited bouquet. 

The palate is full bodied with good, supple tannins supporting the juicy fruit.

Negroamaro grape variety. It shows dark cherry and spiced rapberry aromas, with a firm, vibrantly fruity palate, which shows a hint of chocolate on its long finish

Pinot Noir is ruby in color with light garnet hues. It has the scent of fresh wild berries, lovely balance, and a good tannic structure to frame the wine. 

The vibrantly intense ruby has a distinct purplish rim. Freshness and warm alcohol on the nose mingle with briary fruit and raspberries that allow subtle hints of liquorice to peek through.

The grape itself is Greek in origin - Aglianico is thought to be a corruption of the word Ellenico which is Italian for Hellenic. It is a very dark skinned grape that makes powerful wines that when grown properly also exhibit great finesse.
